Congratulations to 2026 Legacy Star Scholarship awardee Samiya Marion

Keith M. Freeman Legacy Foundation is a nonprofit organization created to continue the legacy of the late  Honerable Keith M. Freeman who left a huge impact on his community  by helping men and women within his community strive to be better individuals. Keith M. Freeman Legacy Foundation has established many initiatives including the Legacy Star Scholarship which awards graduating seniors who have excelled in their academic studies additional funding to go toward college expenses.

The 2026 Legacy Star Scholarship will be accepting applications from April 2nd 2026 to May 15th, 2026 and winners will be announced on May 19th, 2026.

Criteria for the 2026 Legacy Star Scholarship is below:

- Must be a graduating high school senior

- Must provide transcripts or report card proving student is actively on track to graduate high school May 2026.

-Must provide an acceptance letter to an accredited 2 year college or 4 year university

-Must still be in good standing towards graduation at awarding of scholarship

-Must complete a 300-500 word essay on one of the following topic: 

"How will I leverage Artifitical Intelligence in order to enhance my family legacy and its future?"

Applications can be sent online or mailed to our address below. All applications must be recieved by May 15th, 2026 to be considered.
